Everyone makes mistakes. You shouldn’t have to cancel your transfer because of it. If your recipient's name is incorrectly spelled, you can fix the error or change the first/last name to match their photo ID.
This feature is available for cash pickup, depending on their location.
On the app
- Choose the active transfer you'd like to edit
- Tap Edit
- Select Modify Transfer
- Enter the new details
- Tap Save
On the website (US, ES and UK)
- On the Activity page, click the money transfer you want to modify
- Tap Modify at the bottom of the Transfer details screen
- Enter the recipient’s name exactly as it shows on their ID
- Tap Save
If you created the transfer on the website and live in a country other than the United States, Spain or United Kingdom, you'll need to make the name change using the app.
Don’t forget to check that your changes are accurate before saving. New changes need to match the recipient’s photo ID exactly. Missing or wrong names could delay your transfer. Just like before, you have the option to cancel your transfer if you choose to.
