You can now add cash to your Ria Wallet at Euronet cash deposit machines (CDMs). All you need is your Ria Wallet mobile number. There's no card to insert, no fee to pay, and your money is in your wallet straight away.
This is different from depositing cash at a bank CDM. If you'd like to use an AmBank, CIMB, Hong Leong, Maybank, Public Bank or RHB machine instead, see How to add money to your Ria Wallet at a bank cash deposit machine (CDM).
What you need
- An active Ria Wallet
- The mobile number registered to your Ria Wallet
- Malaysian Ringgit notes
You don't need a Ria Prepaid Card or a QR code.
Where to find a Euronet cash deposit machine
Euronet cash deposit machines are currently available in the Klang Valley (Kuala Lumpur and Selangor), and more are on the way across Malaysia.
How to deposit cash
- At the Euronet machine, choose your language: Bahasa Malaysia, English or Mandarin.
- Select Ria Cash Deposit.
- Enter your Ria Wallet mobile number and select Confirm.
- Check that your name, account number and mobile number are correct.
- Insert your notes. The machine shows which notes it accepts, for example RM10, RM20, RM50 and RM100.
- Check the number of notes and the total amount. Select Confirm, or Add Cash to add more notes.
- Check your details and the deposit amount one last time, then select Confirm.
- Take your transaction slip. We'll also send you a notification once your money is in your wallet.
What is the account number on the screen? It's a unique number that identifies your Ria Wallet. You can find it in the Ria Wallet app under Balance info. It isn't a bank account number, so you can't use it for bank transfers.
For your safety, your mobile number isn't printed on the transaction slip.
Fees
It's free. You won't pay any fees to deposit cash at a Euronet cash deposit machine.
Limits
| Limit | Amount |
|---|---|
| Per deposit | Up to RM10,000 and up to 200 notes |
| Per day | Up to 20 deposits or RM20,000, whichever comes first |
| Per month | Up to 100 deposits or RM100,000, whichever comes first |
| Wallet balance | Your Ria Wallet balance can't go over RM10,000 |
For example, if you already have RM8,000 in your wallet, you can deposit up to RM2,000.
If you insert more than your limit allows, the machine will return the extra cash. You can then deposit again within your limit.
Check that your deposit was successful
Your money is added to your Ria Wallet instantly. You'll know it worked when:
- you get a notification from Ria
- your wallet balance goes up
- the deposit appears in Transaction History in the app
Keep your transaction slip until you've seen the money in your wallet.
Why your deposit might not go through
The machine won't accept your deposit if:
- the mobile number isn't linked to an active Ria Wallet
- your Ria Wallet is inactive or has been blocked
- you insert foreign currency, damaged or suspicious notes, or notes the machine doesn't accept (for example RM1, RM2 or RM5)
- you go over one of your limits
- there's a problem with the machine
If you see "Transaction Unable to Process" or "Transaction Cancelled", your deposit hasn't gone through and your cash is returned. Take your cash and try again.
If you're told your Ria Wallet is inactive or blocked, contact us and we'll help.
