Ria eWallet customers can pay for purchases at over 1.8 million merchants in Malaysia, or send and receive funds locally using the QR pay feature in their eWallet.
What is DuitNow?
DuitNow is a digital payment service in Malaysia which aims to make cashless payments easier. Provided by Bank Negara Malaysia (the country's central bank), the DuitNow QR code feature allows users to make payments by scanning a QR code.
As well as paying for purchases at stores across Malaysia, Ria Locations in Malaysia have dedicated DuitNow QR codes which eWallet users can scan to pay for transfers.
How it works
Simply load your Ria Wallet and tap the QR Pay icon in your Ria eWallet. Scan the QR code in store - either at a Ria Location or at a merchant in Malaysia - to pay.
You can make payments at all domestic merchants in Malaysia who are registered with Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM).
How to pay with a QR code
- Tap Pay on the home menu in your Ria eWallet
- Scan the merchant's QR code in store
- Enter the payment amount
- Enter your PIN
- Complete your payment
Where can I see my QR code payments?
QR code payments will show in the Transactions section in your eWallet home screen.
Are there any transaction limits or fees?
No, there aren't any transaction limits or fees.
Why did I see the message 'Unrecognizable QR' when I tried to scan a DuitNow QR code?
Please check that the domestic merchant is registered with Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM).
Merchants registered with Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) will have “xxx Sdn Bhd” or “xxx Enterprise” in the DuitNow QR banner.
Please note that the DuitNow QR function is not available for merchants that are registered as sole proprietors.
My transaction appears to have been successful on my eWallet, but the merchant hasn't received it. What should I do?
If you have made a payment that has been registered on your eWallet, but the merchant hasn't received it, please:
- Open your Ria eWallet to show the merchant your payment receipt / transaction.
- Ask the merchant to check their DuitNow transaction history to see if they have received the payment.
- If the merchant has no record of your payment, please send a copy of the Ria eWallet Transaction Receipt and Merchant DuitNow Transaction Statement to mydigital@riamoneytransfer.com so that we can investigate.
What should I do if my DuitNow QR payment is unsuccessful?
We will automatically refund unsuccessful payments. If you haven't received a refund and it's been more than 24 hours, please contact mydigital@riamoneytransfer.com.
