Before you’re able to transfer with us, we need to confirm that you are you — and not someone else.
What we need to verify your identity
In all countries, it’s important to give your full name, address and date of birth. Please make sure these are accurate and spelled correctly.
United States and Canada
We will first try to verify you with the details on your Ria profile. If we can’t, we will ask other questions (based on your personal documentation) to attempt verification.
If we can't verify your identity, you can try to verify your account again in 7 days time. In the meantime, you might be able to transfer a lower amount of money.
European Union and Chile
You'll be asked to complete identity verification before confirming your first transfer. You will be asked to upload a picture of your ID and take a selfie.
Once your identity has been verified, you'll be able to complete your transfer. You'll only be asked to complete this process once.
You have three attempts to complete identity verification. If you need more attempts, contact Customer Care.
Other countries
You will receive an email from us asking for more information to help verify your identity. If it’s not in your main inbox, check your spam folder. After all of your information is received and processed by us, you should be all set to start sending money.
Due to government regulations, Australia requires you to go through additional security measures to verify your address and identity. Learn more here:
