Bancontact is an online payment method offered by participating banks in Belgium as part of their online banking service. Bancontact allows customers to make purchases or pay using their banking's online environment.
On the Ria app, senders in the Belgium are able to fund their transfers using Bancontact. This option appears under the Payment method menu when you start a transfer.
Paying for a transfer with Bancontact
It’s simple to pay for your money transfer with Bancontact. Keep in mind, the exact experience will vary depending on your bank.
On the app:
1. Start a money transfer
2. On the Payment method screen, select Direct bank payment (with the Bancontact logo)
3. Review your transfer details and tap Continue to be sent to Bancontact to finish your transaction
4. Select your bank to be redirected to your bank’s portal
5. Log into your bank
6. Approve the charge to complete the payment
