There is a government-mandated tax on cash pickup transfers sent from or received in Senegal.
This tax was introduced under Law No. 17/2025, adopted by Senegal’s Parliament, which updates the country’s General Tax Code to include taxes on money transfers and digital financial transactions.
The law came into effect on December 18, 2025 and applies to all eligible cash pickup transfers sent from or to Senegal.
