Follow the steps below to send your first transfer or set up a new one through our app, website, digital partner or at a Ria location.
Send money via our app, website or digital partner
To get started
- Log in to your Ria account on the app or website.
- Click "Send" or "Send money".
The currency conversion step
- Choose the country you're sending money to.

Complete either the 'You send' or the 'Recipient gets' field:
- 'You send' is how much you're sending in your home currency.

'Recipient gets' is the amount your recipient receives.
Need to pay a bill or send a specific amount in another currency? Complete the 'Recipient gets' field first.
Decide how you want to pay
- Time sensitive transfer? The fastest way to pay is by credit or debit card.
Choose your delivery method
- You can send money to your recipient's bank account. If available, you'll also have the option to arrange a cash pickup or send to a mobile wallet.
Enter your recipient's details
- Pay an existing recipient or add someone new.
Pay for your transfer
- Choose one of your existing payment methods or add a new one.
Send your money
- Give your transfer one final check; let's get your money on its way!
Send money at a Ria location
Find a Ria location
- Use our locator tool to find a Ria location near you.
- You will need to have your valid government ID to make a transfer in person.
Speak to an Agent in store
- Give the Ria agent your ID and the details of your transfer, including the country you're sending to and the currencies you're dealing in, to learn about exchange rates and fees.
Provide your recipient's details
- Pay an existing recipient or add someone new.
Pay for your transfer
- Choose one of your existing payment methods or add a new one.
Hang on to your receipt
- Your receipt will contain important information such as your transfer PIN, so make sure you save it.
