What information do I need about my recipient?
You'll need the following to send money to a bank account in Bangladesh:
- Your recipient's full name
- The name of your recipient's bank
- Your recipient's bank account number
- Your recipient's 9-digit BEFTN routing code
Where should I enter the BEFTN routing code?
Enter your recipients 9-digit BEFTN routing code in the BEFTN Routing Code field.
Where will my recipient find their BEFTN routing code?
The BEFTN routing code can be found in the bottom left-hand corner of a cheque.
What if I don't have my recipient's BEFTN routing code?
You can search for the BEFTN routing code by clicking Branch Lookup when you are setting up your transfer. This tool allows you to filter by city to find your recipient's branch and their BEFTN routing code.
What is the BEFTN routing code?
A BEFTN routing code is a 9-digit number which identifies your recipients bank branch.
It consists of a 3-digit bank code, a 2-digit district code, a 3-digit branch code and 1 check digit.
