What information do I need about my recipient?
If sending to the United Kingdom, we will require:
- Your recipient’s full name as shown on their ID
- The city and region your recipient lives in
- The name of your recipient's bank
- Your recipient’s account number or IBAN
- Your recipient's sort code
What does a UK account number look like?
UK account numbers are typically 8 digits long. They identify the bank account.
What is a UK sort code?
A UK sort code identifies the branch where an account is held and is 6 digits long.
What does a UK IBAN number look like?
UK IBANs are 22 characters long. Each one consists of a two-letter country code, two check digits, and a Basic Bank Account Number (BBAN). IBANs ensure that transfers arrive at the correct account, no matter where they're sent from.
